SONNY'S Carwash College, the industry-recognized authority for conveyor car wash training, was established in 2006. Each instructor has either owned, operated, or managed a car wash. Their real-world experience and knowledge are infused into every program taught at CarWash College, allowing our students to acquire years of knowledge in just a few days.'
The state-of-the-art laboratory containing equipment typically found at a car wash is connected to the campus classroom. The equipment has been slightly modified to allow easy access by the students during the combined classroom/hands-on training programs. A hands-on learning approach allows students to retain better what they have learned, enables them to transfer these skills more efficiently and with more accuracy, and, finally, hands-on learning provides students with an enhanced sense of accomplishment.
Sonny’s CarWash College proudly welcomes the Women in Carwash™ conference attendees to our Tamarac, FL, headquarters for a day of car wash camaraderie and hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art lab.
We’ll be offering two different depths of training for you to choose from:
Car Wash 101 A walk-through of each component in the car wash, how it works, the direction brushes turn, the rpm’s they turn at, how chemistry pumps operate, where and why we use high-pressure equipment, etc. This session is for newer to-industry women who have spent little time around the equipment itself and for those who work in the industry but not directly at the washes.
Rip and Tear Have you ever wanted to tear apart and rebuild a conveyor? How about a high-pressure pump or a top brush? Here’s your chance! Sign up for the Rip and Tear Class and work shoulder to shoulder with Sonny’s techs, learning the most efficient ways to make common repairs to car wash equipment. Don’t have Sonny’s equipment? About 90 per cent of all information is transferable to all makes of tunnel equipment.
Please wear closed-toed shoes on the day of the class, or you won’t be allowed in the lab. Safety glasses are also required. If you have a pair, please bring them. If you don’t have any, we have you covered!
We look forward to hosting Women in Carwash™!
